Director

Althea Gibaud is Director of Food at the International Trade Hub and Co-founder of the Aldeo Group. As a business leader and entrepreneur she works internationally across a variety of sectors including food, health, energy and agriculture. As the links between food and how it is produced have such profound impact on health and the environment she seeks sustainable innovative business solutions.

Trained as an engineer, following a first year of medical studies, Althea has a strong and wide ranging background in Change Management, Manufacturing and Consultancy. Her early career at ICI involved pioneering Lean Manufacturing and JIT principles in chemicals, as well as managing the worlds largest Brine Plant. In more recent years Althea has developed farm based UK Anaerobic Digestion (AD) plants and facilitated Health Strategies and Service Delivery in the NHS for secondary and primary care.

Althea relishes challenge and seeks to implement a breakthrough business model, Economics of Mutuality (EoM) that empowers and creates value and mutual benefit across supply chains and communities.
